We require the following information about our Planet:

The main goal is to get a global view of the planet earth. Of interest are the geographical, physical, biological and social data.

All maps can be download in GeoTIFF format from NASA. We can also request the maps directly with a WMS service (see SubjectWMS).

The carbon balance gives the net carbon absorption in g/m²/day. A negative value means decomposition or respiration overpowered carbon absorption; more carbon was released to the atmosphere than the plants took in.
